mumbai indians vs royal challengers bangalore:

Half-centuries from Sanath Jayasuriya and Dwayne Bravo powered Mumbai Indians to a competitive 149-4 against Bangalore Royal Challengers after electing to bat at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on Sunday.

Mumbai were in deep trouble in the early stages when debutant Bangalore pacer Dillon du Preez had Sachin Tendulkar and Ajinkya Rahane dismissed off consecutive deliveries in his debut IPL over. He added a third in his next by removing Jean-Paul Duminy for one.

But Jayasuriya struck a vital partnership with Bravi which yielded 60 runs for the fourth wicket. Jayasuriya's dismissal didn't deter Bravo and Abhishek Nayar to add a further 66 runs to propel the Mumbai Indians to a challenging total.Mumbai made two changes to their line-up, bringing back Dwayne Bravo and Shikhar Dhawan for Graham Napier and Saurabh Tiwary.

Bangalore, on the other hand, ringed in the changes with Rahul Dravid returning. Wasim Jaffer replaced Sreevats Goswami at the top of the order, while Dillion du Preez was handed his IPL debut as Jesse Ryder made way.
